The term is very common in Kpop.

I believe it just because the album name is Born to Shine and that's exactly the lack of creativity we expect from YGE.

i don't listen to k pop so can't tell you, i got TWICE's album a few weeks ago but didn't bother listening 

outdoing new woman will be pretty hard 

glad to know Lisa and Rosalia still have a relationship

hopefully they snatched one and it's the next single 

btw I hope we get an Amy allen penned track, she was all over rosie

Mini Albums are like EP for korean artists.

After all this time, they still couldn't commit to just 8 songs. It's not like they're even involved in creating them, yet they couldn't be bothered to finish recording 8 tracks?

They also find a way to be unimaginative yet have a title that is somehow impactful，but Born To Shine is SO CORNY

their albums are 8 tracks, so a mini-album is 4 tracks for them  "born to shine" chile...

In Kpop album is used as a term for physical releases. 
 

So you have 

single album 

mini album or also ep album 

and full album 

 

I think it was YG (one of the companies) starting with mini albums. So instead of one full album a year it's usually two mini albums a year. The doubles their income this way. 

 

OT: I really didn't think we were actually getting a release besides a digital single 

 

but honestly I'm here for them giving us each solo releases for two years and then the third year being a mini by the group
