What's even crazier is 21 took 55 weeks to cross 8 million (including its 730k from Grammy week) while 25 did that in 8 weeks...

 

21 still reached the 10 million milestone quicker iirc but 25 was a behemoth in another way

 

And 25's first 5 weeks = 21's first year of sales (it crossed 7.3 million in Week 52 with the 830k sales)

Nothing is ever touching 25's crazy sales, I know Taylor might do it (first week), but it's not the same tbh.

Yes 21 had much better longevity. 21 & 1989 are both very similar in longevity.

I mean she re-peaked during streaming era and it's impossible for streaming units to ever match digital sales in short term. For example around 50% of 25's first week sales came from just iTunes.
