Artists you stan after seeing them live?

Featured Replies

It happened to me first with The Marías, and now it happened with Chappell Roan, it's literally all I'm listening to, watching all of her interviews and getting into her as an artists. It just clicked.

Has it happened to you that you became a stan after seeing an artist live? :coffee2:

I was just watching this and wow. She reminds me so much of Gaga. She was a star even back then.

I was a big Beyoncé hater until my ex BF dragged me to the Beyoncé Experience... I became a Stan then. She kinda lost me with Cowboy Carter but I'm looking forward to act 3.

I was a casual fan until I saw Taylor live in concert and was blown away by her performance skills.

This is a serious thread.

I never really cared for Madonna that much until I was randomly given a VIP ticket for one of her Re-Invention Tour in Lisbon, and I became a fan! Not a stan but a fan for sure.

Same happened with Patrick Wolf years and years ago. I liked him but was a bit indiferent but then saw him at a festival and fell in love

I was a big fan of Rina Sawayama (I even like HTG)

Then I saw her live, I was blown AWAY. She has such superstar energy, she really wanted it then, we were all chanting her songs, even her most recent ones, and honestly...

Chappell's performance skills and stage presence during her Primavera set this year blew my mind and that is how i became her fan. She was SO amazing.

I wouldn't say i stan them but i respected Doja & Chappell a lot after seeing them live

Dua back in 2022. It was the first concert I ever attended and it was honestly amazing. I've been a stan ever since.

I went to see Katy Perry and Carly Rae Jepsen opened for her. I liked Call Me Maybe before but really got into her performances and bought her discography at the time. Now, I still stream her music.

That happened with P!nk. I liked her before, but after the show I became a stan.

kacey musgraves. i was full on anti-kacey until i saw her at lollapalooza in 2019 and instant switched like a f*ggot to the winning team :jonny:

The Marias are so good live, when did you see them? I saw them earlier in their career at a tiny ass venue but they were so good beautiful voice and the sax solos lol

I always stan gaga harder each time I see her live she's my queen :agaycatabra:

Bon Iver is the best musical experience I've ever lived through. I was already a big consumer of their music but I became a stan:alexz:.

Later on, I became greatly enamored with Beyoncé after I saw her at the Formation Tour. I absolutely am in the cult now. :doc:

Another artist that wasn't on my radar who impressed me a while ago was Halsey, I saw her randomly for free and she did great.

I've had many artists that I enjoy listening to completely fall off in my book after extremely underwhelming concerts. That tends to happen way more often than the other way around. There are even a few I was obsessed with for a time in which I lost most interest because of how lacking they were on stage:gaycat7:.

Stray kids though think I was already a Stan when I dropped $500 on a last minute ticket after discovering them the previous week :sabrina:

Like it was just perfect timing the fact they were coming to my city that same month

I didn't even know the members besides Hyunjin then someone was like who's your bias and I was like TF a bias?

I wasn't familiar with J. Cole at the time, but he blew me away when I saw him open for Rihanna in 2011. his first studio album came out a few months later, and 'Nobody's Perfect' became my favourite song of the year by a country mile.

Karol G, went to her concert with 0 expectatives... It was like a religious experience that girls has the power of connecting with people trough music, even from far away of the stage i felt connected to her. Ended up going to that tour for 2 more shows.
