I really dont understand this entitled attitude of speaking for everyone else HP franchise has been a lot of people's entire childhood and it has given them a lot of joy. And a lot of today's kids are

Spoiler

to be clear i;m against all Harry Potter stuff bc of JK, but normies will eat this **** up

Ofc no reboot or remake ever lives up to the original because of redundancy and nostalgia and quality in most cases, but i'll watch this one once out of curiosity.

You know this will be all a Surf Draculed remake and we will see hogwarts on the last episode of the first season while spending 8 episodes with his uncles lol

I dont see this smashing since the younger crowd is not pro JK Rowling and the millenial crowd and older already watched the movies. This will be also super expensive and not worth the cost in the end.  HBO is looking for their new GOT but they know they lost it on the last season

The whole thing just feels too soon. Give it another 10 years at least

If it's good, it'll be fine. Let the younger generation have their own HP experience.

Hogwarts legacy smashed and so will this. **** JK but this story and characters don't change what they mean to people.

That's the point, this series will introduce Harry Potter to the new generation.

Looks like someone that bought a cheap Hagrid costume from Temu for Halloween.

Damn, this series has been milked to death. Only Pokemon and Marvel keep pushing out more slop than Warner Bros/JKR :bibliahh: This show will be another Fantastic Beasts

Are we still under the impression that Twitter likes mean anything? Have we not learned our lesson from the daily "Taylor Swift goes viral for not being a girls girl" threads here?

I hope this series fails, but there's no point discussing what goes viral in Elon Musk's social network.

I mean, this kind of sums it up. JK is trash but her creation has brought a lot of joy to people. I'm not going out and buying a bunch of merch or supporting any other endeavors of hers, but I'll watch the show when it comes out.

It's a soulless and entirely unnecessary cash grab remake being produced purely because HP is a multi-billion dollar franchise that needs to remain "current" in order to sell kids' toys and theme park tickets and they decided to make the safest possible move and simply remake the part of the story that they already know people love after their one attempt at doing something original in the IP flopped so badly they cancelled it halfway through—in no small part because of Rowling's utterly abysmal screenplays that couldn't be salvaged even by the studio bringing on a cowriter to try to fix her slop.

They're using some sort of "more book accurate" selling point to justify its existence that only a fool could possibly fall for after seeing how loosely HBO has adapted other stories.

a lot of people hate JK and hate this reboot but a loooooooooot of people are gonna be tuned the **** in so this viral reaction is nothing

You Gen Z are sooo edgy. It's not like Hogwarts Legacy didn't sell gangbusters, that included Gen Z. Oh wait ...

OT: that being said,  this thing is completely unnecessary and I hope it flops ( it probably won't cuz people have no morals and want the rehashed shiny thing)

We didn't need to reboot HP, but we needed to reboot the TERF J.K. Rowling

I hope viewership drops like a rock after ep 1.

I love a good reheated nacho (as per my avi) but man, am i tired of hollywood just barfing out remakes, reboots, and reunions.

Our culture has become so regurgitant. Hard to believe it wasn't that long ago we were spoiled with a relentless stream of high quality, original films and series :gaycat6:
