it's not normal to go to a strangers house and gays need to realize that 

If someone truly wants to kill you they can. People have managed to get to governmental officials. You're never safe when you meet up on Grindr. You could bring them back to your place and if they had a gun, they could simply shoot you then shoot everyone else in that house before anyone could stop them. Each time you meet on Grindr you are risking your life. Hell to be honest in America every time you walk outside you're risking your life. So just be careful but also don't be naive either. This hookup could be your last.

 

Anyways, this man likely has a mental Illness of sorts and knew the quickest way to get someone to come to his house alone and at night was to use Grindr. Not necessarily homophobia motivated but still the result is the same if it was.
