have the catalog, hits, and impact to be remembered long-term

 

then:

Christina Aguilera (Xtina)

Does she count as a legend? No. She's an important pop star of the late '90s/early 2000s, and she has vocal icon status, but she didn't sustain the cultural dominance or consistency of a true pop legend. She's remembered more for her talent and specific peaks ("Stripped," "Dirrty") than as a defining force like Britney, Beyoncé, Rihanna, or Taylor.

 

Adele

Unquestionably a legend. She's one of the best-selling artists of the century, with multiple era-defining albums (21, 25) and timeless ballads. Even though she doesn't operate like a "traditional" pop girl, her impact is massive and lasting.

 

Taylor Swift

No debate here: she's the defining pop figure of the 2010s–2020s. Culturally, commercially, critically — she's the most dominant pop star of her generation.

 

Are they the "last three"?

Not quite. After Adele/Taylor, we still have other arguable contenders:

 

Lady Gaga (already legendary, same era as Adele/Taylor)

Rihanna (huge cultural/music/fashion force — already a legend)

Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande — these are newer main pop girls, but their legend status is still TBD.

 

👉 Short answer: Xtina doesn't qualify. Adele and Taylor are the last two undisputed new main pop girl legends.
