There are plenty of artists out there doing 80 shows and still can't even crack 300M… not even 200M.

 

Mind you, over 70% of this projected revenue is from third world countries, and nobody else has ever done +300M in latin america ever.

 

This is a huge achievement and it proves you don't need to rely on the US or Europe to have a high grossing tour.

 

And before you say anything, she's not local. Europe and Asia dates are coming, and she's already grossed 100M in North America

She's the first artist ever to sell out Estadio GNP Seguros 12 times in a row, while also selling over 1 MILLION tickets in Mexico. LOL. That's so hilarious that she has unprecedented demand.

And what exactly is the problem with this? This goes for ya'll attacking Shakira over this or Bey over her US-centric tour. Let's not diminish extreme demand by implying it only exists in one country; and even if it did, the demand within that one country is greater than the worldwide demand for most "global" artists. The number of people isn't changing so why does it matter where they're from??? What's actually the issue?

I was not expecting her to do this well considering everything I saw from the tour was a delay or a cancellation or some other mess happening on twt, but I'm very pleased for her. Go girl. 

American singers benefit from U.S. hegemony and consumer power, with their records inflated like bubbles, and within that structure they get sold in other regions as well. Among the main pop girls, only Shakira has proven herself without that kind of bubble.

No!!! I can't stand it!! My fave was supposed to have this and I was going to use this as validation for my own life! Ugh!! How dare that harlot do this to Beyonce!? I'm mad! It's betrayal, I hope she sends Solange to unscrew some screws on her stage and she has to cancel so my fave can keep the record!!! I'm fuming!!! 

 

I'm glad she's finally flexing her touring powers, it's long overdue. If there's someone who should be a touring giant, it's her. A great performer through and through. She's still on my bucket list to see. I'm still mad at this puta for cancelling the original Chicago date then having the audacity to reschedule a festival as her stop here. I still want to see her, hopefully she keeps going.

 

420 - 430M and she still didn't tour Europe and Asia yet. I expect this tour to gross over 600M (at least)
