Surprised?

They need to solve the billboard hot 100 chart formula cause this is just ridiculous

Out of all the industry issues to complain about, a black man going top 10 on Billboard because country radio plays him too much is... not the worst thing

The song isn't even doing that terrible on other metrics. It does 500k a day on Spotify, it's #17 on iTunes and #8 on Shazam so some of the people that hear it on the radio do seek it out. Not to mention it has great callout scores and is the follow-up to a monster smash. There's nothing frustrating going on here

That's great but a cute top 20 peak would suffice. The top 10 is reserved for the real sought-after songs, the bad ******* and the true smaxhes

It isnt frustrating its just kinda unfair. Cause songs like The Subway hold up incredibly well on US streaming but freefall because they dont get the same amount of radio. Making airplay weigh this much just creates a chart that isnt organic. At least not organic to what the public actually consumes.

The payola is real

and its not only country radio its have like 5 formats with 75 ml audience overall :deadbanana2:

I was wonder who from top 3 of monster male smashes of 2024 will have second top 10 hit :
Swims, Bone or Shaboozey. :coffee:

also this song is like in YE HOT 100 top 30 placement

The top 10 is currently reserved for songs from 19 months ago and Morgan Wallen singles so I'd welcome even a radio fueled moderate hit coming in among them

The public is, in a way, consuming Good News, looking at Shazam. They seem to enjoy hearing it on the radio, at least. Is that comparable to a song that gets 6 times as many actual daily streams? No. But it's also not Shaboozey's fault that Chappel's label refuses to do radio promo for a song that was #1 on Spotify for a week :fan:

Radio fueled songs have always been a thing. Plenty of pop girl songs that hit number one on pop radio and peak in the top 30

This is a nothingburger to me. Tons of radio-fueled hits have hit the Top 10. Good for Shaboozey for fighting for a second hit.
