Professional musician and producer is highly impressed by AI song

Does this sound good to you, or does it still come across as AI slop?

This was generated in just a few minutes using a public paid app. Now imagine what record labels could accomplish with exclusive, next-level music AI models. Is the AI takeover of music closer than we think?

this is so sad and scary. not to sound pretentious, but does nobody care about art anymore? there really needs to be laws against this

    Dark times

we should be concerned, i just listened to the first minute and half of that song and it's genuinely good, i was even thinking 'can i hear the human emotion in this?' and i could :rip: it sounds by all accounts like a real human is singing it. i cant believe we've gotten to this point. and the fact that this is just the beginning is scary as ****

I rebuke it in the name of Jesus!! AI created slop will NEVER be music! Not on my watch!

They need to make it illegal to upload this demonic garbage to streaming services. Real artists already have a hard enough time getting heard.

As someone who makes their own music and writes their own songs hear me out.

What about a middle section in all of this.

instead of uploading this and trying to make artists out of ones and zeroes.

I think this could be a good songwriters tool if you have the production ideas in your head.  You can bring your songs to life and then have it all reproduced by actual humans by buying some studio time.

I do think we need harsh regulations though cause this is sounding way too close to the real thing.

They also need to make it illegal for AI companies to be able to use existing copyrighted pieces of music to feed the algorithm that produces this. If they can't use any real music then they can't create any fake AI music. That's how you kill this. But politicians are dinosaurs who are 20 years behind in terms of understanding technology.

Seriously? What the heck is that? It sounds like a Gracie Abrams reject

That's the problem, it's digesting Gracie Abrams and Lizzy McAlpine and spitting out something based on it assigning data points to everything from melody to vocal tone to drum patterns etc. If it can't access those songs, then it can't function. It's not creativity.

Laws are behind the tech. And lawmakers don't even understand how AI functions.

Mess:rip:

I don't care how good it sounds, now or in the future. I will always absolutely reject AI "art" on an existential level.

Music is one of the oldest ways for people to express themselves with one-another. It's primal, and it's human. AI is just meaningless pantomime.

Didn't he make that stupid video about Pop music? Has this man ever made a single good song on his own?
