I detested everything about that album and era but looking back it was one of the last straws of the glorious Tumblr era.

Incredible album  I remember hearing soap for the first time and being in love and giving the album a listen bc everyone i know was hyping it tf up  lowkey miss the 2012-2016 era of music and all the tumblr girls that emerged

Her dedication to a concept and creating visuals is incredible  

Would be nice if another song got a sudden revival like Play Date

No album has aged like milk more than this one.

Loved it back when it was not viewed as a kink thing

never got why people gagged over this kindergarten ass album theme so much but this is truly one of the last relics to come from the tumblr era before she faded into oblivion

One of the albums that made me want to listen to music, I love 'K-12' a lot more but this was such a moment in the Gacha Life community in the late 2010s..

 

I haven't listened to Melanie since before K-12 dropped but I cannot deny, Cry Baby is a great album and it has laid down the foundation for the formation of many gays' music tastes. It was a quintessential album during tumblr's last days and you cannot argue with the fact that Cry Baby (along with Badlands) were massive in online spaces, especially for teenage gays back in the day.

 

 

i remember being in high school when this came out. it really iconic for the time, i have fond memories listening to this with my friends. soap randomly being one of the best songs ever 

Never vibed with this, or her. But it does seem like it was a moment for many people.

An iconic album and such an interesting era with a music video for every song. Too bad that the artist ended up being a questionable person and such a one trick pony 

tag. you're it need to go viral someday, for those who hate this album and her now, i knew yall bopping to whole album back then stop lying.
