That desert region tends to be very hot so 120+ temperatures aren't that shocking. 

 

 

The hottest temperature ever recorded was 134F (56.7C) in Death Valley, California, USA on July 10, 1913.

 

It reached 122F (50C) in Lytton, British Columbia, Canada (just north of 50N latitude) on June 29, 2021.

Society suffering the consequences of not taking global warming and climate change in general seriously I fear.

Last week in Mexicali they were also past 122°F (50°C) and got power outages, some of my family in there were almost 20 hours with no energy. A nightmare, let's hope it doesn't last much in Iraq

Some of them were never inhabitable in the first place. Humans shouldn't be living in the Sahara or building artificial islands in the Arabbian Sea.

i hope people who live in those areas have a place to at LEAST not be in direct sunlight all the time

yeah the heat this year seems to be f*cking up my skin too, i keep breaking out this summer

And to think we complain about temperatures in the 90°F range. It could always be worse.
