So the 2 days consensus since announcement is , every fanbase is happy with Taylor's comeback and all are very supportive considering the dire state of pop culture this year.

TTPD era is over and so is Jack.

I saw him performing at an Amazon concert with Bleachers as an opening act for Glass Animals.

Because music is boring right now, and the current major album campaigns this year have been dismal in keeping casual fans interested.

 

(Case in point: a "song of the summer" debate having no clear victor at the point most past gargantuan summer hits have already been at the top for a week or five, or are making a final decisive play for the top.)

 

This is the time of year I miss a Katy Perry, Charlie Puth, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Kesha, Flo Rida, Rihanna, or Taio Cruz character who has their label throw all of the chips on the table towards summer domination via a mindless, catchy BOP.

Because 2025 has been a pretty bland for the GP — music hasn't exactly been a part of a global trend (maybe except the kpop movie), and Taylor Swift is pretty much one of the only artists who can generate so much hype and attention that even the people who were mad at her in 2024 want her back, since at least she'll do something interesting. Considering that we already have people dragging her for some lyrics that we haven't even heard...she's def gonna take the main stage and make it shine like opalite

Music has not been boring for YEARS atp. Yall need a expand your horizons 

Many reasons:

1. She's one of the main celebrities against Trump and the one with more influence

2. People need good pop music and Taylor/Max Martin duo offered some high quality pop music

3. Images are serving a great era

 

It's because the color palette alludes to a departure from her 2020 - present sound. Hopefully it's not just a red herring.

Exactly. Like I honestly believe that the music from 2020-2025 is some of best ever released

Her "hiatus" made people miss her even more and market is wide open for an escapist pure pop album with the world going to sh*t. Chappell abandoned that and Sabrina has gone faux country after Espresso so it's up to Taylor to lift our spirits

2025 is boring and she's working with Max Martin and Shellback, of course everyone is curious about it.

She's a really nice girl tbh very likeable. Her fans can be annoying at times but that's because they're mostly very young. Once you tune the annoying part of her fanbase, she is very enjoyable.
