Alex Warren's complete You'll Be Alright, Kid (Atlantic) is headed for the Top 10 on next week's HITS Top 50. The expanded 21-track set landed on Friday and is currently tracking to an opening of 55-65k. 

Columbia's Jessie Murph will see her Sex Hysteria debut in the Top 15 with 30-35k and a chance of bowing in the Top 10.

Tyler, The Creator's just announced Don't Tap The Glass (Columbia) is set to go live on Monday, 7/21. His last outing, Chromakopia, released on Monday, 10/28/24, generated nearly 300k in first week activity. With each album having only four days in their first chart weeks, can Don't Tap match or surpass Chromakopia's start? We think 250k is a safe bet and won't be surprised if it's even more.

We're also tracking BTS' PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE (LIVE) (BIGHIT/Geffen) and will have a projection once more info is available.

I wonder where they got 250k from... Chromakopia had "only" 150k pure, did this already do 100k+ in preorders?

The album is becoming my fave of his since Igor, just a string of bops.

Addison did almost 50k with no major hits while he has a #1 smash and over 20 tracks on his album

so he did 18k more than her and got a number one smash to boot. where is the flopping  

 

she did do 10k more in pure tho! 

 

 

Alex's numbers are fine, they're not bad, but I don't see it having that much of consistent success post "Ordinary", who knows.

Ozzy Osbourne's passing is bound to shake things up. I'm still in shock he's gone so soon after the tour ended. Wow.....  This is probably the biggest musical loss since Prince.

I'd like to think Tyler offers even more and something different than him at the same time but sure, he probably is currently the most popular "artsy" rapper. A place Kanye occupied before he went off the rails. I remember when the gp and hip-hop heads alike use to anticipate the next Kanye album, now folks just wonder when his next online crashout is gonna be. He's still well streamed but I wonder how many of those streams are older albums from 10+ years ago. I don't see Tyler putting personal drama and celebrity before his art and music ever. He's too passionate and focused. Kanye had passion but he was way too desperate to keep up with the Joneses and lost himself in the sunken place. He's addicted to the fame. Tyler does not desire celebrity to that degree.

Very much this. And I think it's very exemplified by the way whenever he does find himself in controversy or a beef, he is usually very quick to publicly shut it down and move on from it. He can be mouthy and say stupid stuff, but he has also learned when it's time to just take that heat on the chin and keep moving.

Tyler's album is incredible. deserved #1

Ozzy Osborne &/ Black Sabbath will probably have at least a few T20 albums. I have a very hard time believing otherwise. He'll probably get a T10. You have to remember how big he is/was. He has the T10 Live Pop Bars [not as much as it used to mean] but he has songs on Apple Music T200 too, 2 in the T20.
