Pop stars as studio instrumentalists

Featured Replies

I was curious to see how some of the more talked about artists on ATRL contributed to their recent albums instrumental wise, since that usually goes unnoticed / mentioned on here. What are some other artists that deserve shout outs for their instrumentation / non singing work?

Taylor - TTPD: Taylor played the piano on track 3 and track 17

Gaga - MAYHEM: Gaga played some variation of the keyboard on every song, including synth pads, Rhodes piano, and the piano.

Lana - DYK… Lana played the glockenspiel on track 4, and whistled on track 8

Beyonce - Cowboy Carter: Beyoncé clapped on track 10, and played percussion on track 23

Miley: Something Beautiful: Miley played the loop pad on track 4, and the synths on track 12

Katy - 143: NA

Tate McRae - So Close to What: NA

Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet: NA

Billie - HMHAS: Billie played the keyboard on every song (she is also credited for synthesizer and glockenspiel but I'm not sure which tracks)

Olivia - Guts: NA

Any surprises?

Beyoncé knew she was cooking up some excellence and had to applaud herself.
