Better album? Which is more timeless?

Discuss.

Both of their best :jonny:

The production on HIFN is just stellar and groundbreaking tbh, whereas Foklore has some of the best story telling and lyricism for a pop girl ever.

Only one has visions, though!

folklore sweetie I'm so sorry they'd ever compare you to...that :mazen:

How I'm feeling now not only is the better album it is also a mission statement better suited to the pandemic as a collective experience and to charli's career. Also, it's the more influential album in regards to the culture of pop music since then

these actually stand out to me as being albums by two artists that i really like that i think are fine but aren't my favourites.

i think you can make a case for folklore as being a real cultural reset that brings guitar music and a more organic style back into the mainstream and has a lot of downstream effects from that. and maybe also HIFN first shows charli really turning inwards and being a real precursor to brat maybe, which makes it important in its own right i guess (tho tbf she's been doing that in smaller ways for years so idk)?

but do i listen to them very much, no i don't, i'm far more likely to find myself listening to 1989 or charli s/t, i'm just a bit of a heathen i fear

I actually voted for Charli for this one!

At the time of release for both of these albums, I really didn't like how I'm feeling now but it's grown a lot for me whereas folklore I don't really go to it except for a handful of tracks.

HIFN is a monumental exercise in loneliness and isolation while being a pop bible. the other one is folklore.
