If she wins, this will mark the first time she'll win a Big 4 category. Do you see this happening?

Peak doesn't mean anything when it comes to THEE Billie Eilish. WWIMF? approaching 5 million units in the US, Abra ... 1.3m-ish ? Abra does not have half of the cultural moment that WWIMF? h

A majority of the comments I've seen online are saying that Kendrick Lamar's album will win Album of the Year. As much as I want Gaga to take home a prize, I just have a feeling that she won't win any.

I think Record of the year is highly possible, I'm not sure about the AOTY when kendrick is there… but imo she should get it :giraffe:

GoldDerby predictions pre-Grammy nominations are always for likelihood of just being nominated, not winning, don't set her up

:suburban:

Hopefully she wins a GF award. If she doesn't I doubt she'll go home empty handed anyway. She'll take at least one award in the pop category.

She may get nominated, but I'd be absolutely shocked if she wins Album of the Year over Bad Bunny or Kendrick.

As for SotY/RotY, the last few years they have went to recordings that were absolute smashed + cultural moments. I find it hard to see a scenario where 'Abracadabra' wins over more successful or culturally huge tracks that were released in this time period.

Her best shot is Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo performance - I don't know why Gold Derby is setting her up for such high expectations.

Shes not winning AOTY against Kendrick or Bad Bunny, and shes not winning against Luther or Wildflower.

for ROTY Abra isn't big enough to battle with Luther.

for SOTY no song ever won with a sample, so it is highly unlikely for Abra.

her best chance is AOTY and this will be deserved.

but she needs one more single (maybe with deluxe) for it.

I think she's losing all of those.

"Ordinary" is probably taking Record of the Year and/or Song of the Year.
"luther" and "WILDFLOWER" are bigger contenders for Song of the Year alongside "Ordinary".
'GNX' or 'DeBí TiRaR MáS FOtOs' are probably challenging for Album of the Year.

I do think, though, that 'MAYHEM' might snatch Best Pop Vocal Album. "Abracadabra" is a good contender for Best Pop Solo Performance.

2023 SOTY: Bonnie Raitt - Just like that (flop and culturally irrelevant)

2024 SOTY: Billie Eilish - What was I made for? (not an absolute smash, less peak than Abra in USA)

your statement is not true at all.

I doubt she will win but imagine if she does, Atrl would implode and the server would be gone forever :jonnycat:

Unless her team aggressively campaigns behind the scenes, I doubt she's winning. I do think she will get noms in the GF categories though.

Regardless, I feel like she's a very weak default frontrunner for the GF but doesn't have the urgency to be rewarded there given the voters' general reluctance to reward straight pop eras. Abracadabra is #1 for SOTY predictions right now because songs on the ballot are listed alphabetically by song title, so she's completely locked if the likes of ABCDEFU were able to get nominated lol. ROTY is by artist name, so she's in a similar position to Luther there, maybe slightly higher, which is why she's #1 there too; neither of those have any bearing on if she can pull off a win, though.

Bad Bunny absolutely isn't winning in the GF, nor will Sabrina, so I feel like Kendrick is the mainstream frontrunner for now but it's yet to be seen if voters will feel the same urgency that they did with Not Like Us to give him another complete sweep. It's far more likely that we see a Jon  Batiste/Bonnie Raitt type win again. Gaga has a Dance field win pretty much locked up and is a strong frontrunner to win at least one Pop category, which is all we could ask for at this point

Bonnie Raitt is the one irregularly.

WWIMF? was an absolute cultural behemoth, winning an Oscar. You cannot compare WWIMF?'s success with Abracadabra.

In the grand scheme of things, Abracadabra is definitely not the front runner in either RotY or SotY category. Does this mean it can't win? No. But to suggest it's the 'easy front runner' is setting Gaga up for future lashings if she loses both. The only categories she's probably front runner for at this time is Pop Solo, Pop Vocal, and maybe Music Video.

Abra does not have half of the cultural moment that WWIMF? had along with the movie, also will NEVER touch WWIMF total units and streams.

hope this helps, xoxo
