Do you talk to yourself? If so, how often and in what way?

Featured Replies

A behavior considered not socially acceptable because of assumptions, but do you talk to yourself when you think no one is around?

And there's two types of talking to yourself, which one do you do?....

Kind of. I more "practice" what I'm gonna say and I imagine the other person is in front of me. Sometimes tho I just do it because I'm bored :suburban:

I'll think things through in my head but not say it out loud… so kinda? You can also do that even if other people are around and they won't notice, they'll just think you're spacing out lol

Yes I'm always like "you got this raver" "cmon raver don't puss out" etc. or I repeat my affirmations throughout my day

Yes, sometimes when I am experiencing a psychosis episode in public I will hold my phone to my ear and have a conversation with no one thinking they're speaking to me. Last time I did that I was crying about Neve Campbell dying in a car accident (my psychosis made me believe it) and I had like three people around me asking me if it was true.

i want you to just make a list of everything that is wrong with you so that i can stop assuming we've seen it all and later being surprised to learn there's more lore

o/t: i talk to myself all the time, it's a form of therapy for me. when i go for night walks i talk my problems through out loud and give myself advice. it's extremely helpful :thing:

I should make an AMA

i talk to myself all the time. i think everyone in the world does it, especially when we're stressed out or lonely. we're human beings and we like venting our issues to others so if u don't have anyone to air your grievances to, you will talk to yourself to blow off some steam

yes, when i work i'm like, ok now gotta do this, call that person. saying things out loud so there's less of a chance of forgetting.

Yes I do it all the time, I'm the only one who can understand myself
