I think people underestimate her artistic involvement because it's clear she's crafted her own sonic world when listening to these last two albums in succession or hearing her humor in interviews.

She has always been like that, even on singular she has some songs with that humor tongue in cheek vibe (Sue Me, Bad Time, Take You Back).

 

The people that have been following her/listened to her projects know that Short n Sweet is an authentic record and evolution from Miss Sabrina and that's what matters

it was VERY successful for her standards, sabrina was such a flopped artist.

This album was the start of her success days and was essential to the eras tour opening + her now incredible success of short n sweet.

'emails' is the start of her deserved successful days, thats the reason why it wasn't "more" successful, she was so flopped before and this was the start. 

Such an important chapter of her career.

well it has served and insane longevity after all. The way it peaked very poor WW but has been on the main big charts WW for more than a year says everything about how succesful it is. Almost 4B streams on Spotify, 1 song over 1B streams, other one reaching that milestone in months, 5 songs over 100M and soon the be 6, streams and the rest of the album above 30M. This is hardly a no from the GP tbh

Look at its overall streams now, the GP does care ever since Feather and Nonsense took off.

I kinda relate to this. It feels like it came out at the perfect time in my life and really captured the tumultuous experience that is dating in your mid 20s. Unrequited love, betrayal, frustration, wanting and deserving more and feeling a lot of very deep emotions for the first time. She hit the nail on the head.

 

And whilst I appreciated it at the time, I'm glad she moved onto more upbeat fun music afterwards. We can't be sad and introspective forever.

when it came out I was experiencing a 4 year "kind of" relationship that lasted way more than it deserved. Then when the deluxe came out I was with my first love ever. We lived together, had a dog and went through so much and the more fun and love songs alligned with that.

 

Now that we broke up six months ago and he is already with someone else this hits the same as my previous relationship so I feel what you are saying. Like emails resumes like what have happened in my love life from 19 to this day that i'm 25. Hope this is the last chapter since I have outgrown from this experiences and now I'm a way more mature person with so much sense of self love and awareness.
 

That's why I have also listened to decode a lot lately. It just hits after realizing not everything needs a closure or an explanation, just let it go. Some people aren't able to communicate and take accountability of the damage they done and waiting for an apology or an explanation is valid but it doesn't take you nowhere when you are waiting for it while it's never arriving, and that after all. If it's arrive, it doesn't change anything at all

HMHAS was one of my most-played albums last year 

 

So bad, I skip everytime Apple Music tries to sneak into my stations. Like I like Short N Sweet, Jack Antonoff saved her but don't give me any of her old ****! Even she doesn't claim it. 

I'd been listening since Sue Me and Paris back in 2018, but when this album dropped, I knew something had shifted. It felt like a real turning point, a statement of growing up. No joke, it honestly feels like her true debut. The music before this leans more toward mixtape vibes or manufactured pop, especially with that Ariana knock-off sound they seemed to be chasing for a while.
