For the last couple months his relationship with his girlfiend Zara McDermott was causing online controversy with people harassing them. Louis is famous for keeping his personal life private but it seems this time things have gone a bit out of control so he speaks out on this matter.

 

This is also seem to be, once again, a drag to infamous group of jobless, mentally ill and socially outcasted people called "larries" (the conspiracy theory part). If you haven't heard of them, they are the people who were harassing Harry & Louis, their girlfriends, family members, stalking them and now denying every one of their relationship and even claiming Louis' own son Freddie is fake / adopted / not his etc etc.

 

 

 

Why should this be a relevant topic of discussion to anybody in 2025?

They have a subreddit and they act as insane as you would expect.

It's been almost 10 years since the band split; Louis and Harry have barely been seen together, so what's even keeping the 'Larry' community going? Pictures and videos from 2012?????

Not them having a subreddit too here I was thinking they are exclusive to Twitter only  Reddit attracts all kinds of insane people so I can only imagine probably raging over this tweet

I'm sure Euphoria didn't help with this. I love that show but it was so inappropriate considering it was about two people who have made it clear that they're uncomfortable with it. This should've never made the cut and I was disappointed the first time I watched it

I think this is part of it but also Harry flirts with queer identity and generally portrays himself as sexually ambiguous so in their eyes Harry is confirmed queer so now they have to prove it about Louis. 

His son is about to turn 10 and there's still people who think he's not his: rip: I remember back in the day when he was born and larries went after his birth certificate to make sure Louis was stated as the father lmao

I feel like it's because it's easy for these people to come to the conclusion that Harry is at least interested in men.

 

Whereas to them, Louis is clearly a closeted and not living his truth and is repressing his sexuality and who he is. So he needs more targeted harassment.

The Larry conspiracy theory made sense (not really but it made more sense than it does now) when Harry and Louis were in one direction and had the same management and were actively under the same "control" but it makes absolutely zero sense now that they are 10 years removed from one direction and have separate teams, managers and are under separate labels. The entire theory is predicated on their team not letting them come out and say they're together, but they've had a different and entirely separate team for 10 years now so what exactly is the justification. 

Imagine being a famous, rich male celebrity with a partner and child and being this bothered about people indulging in a fantasy about you. I'm sure the Larrys do go too far online, but it is just Online fandom.
