Most people would probably say Diana (and would be mostly right) but I do feel Donna Summer truly inhibited the early prototype of a pop diva whose image, music, and presence still feels fresh and can be seen in all pop stars who came after her. Love Donna DOWN.

Diana was huge and was a lot more controversial and even though aesthetically Aretha never served pop gurl she was a hitmaker and a Grammy magnet same for Barbra
