3 +1  Future - Life Is Good (Official Music Video) ft. Drake   4,700,095

I'm really confused at this still smashing so hard.

the song is "only" #81 on Spotify and #69 on AM (and rap songs tend to do way better on the on-demand platforms than YT). YT is a mess tbh

Biggest 2020 videos:

1. Life Is Good | 713M

2. GOOBA | 451M

3. Yummy | 439M

4. Yo Perreo Sola | 310M

5. How You Like That | 280M

the lead alone is big. and this would be like the first year where the biggest video is a 100% hip-hop track in forever, so weird (latin or pop videos tend to dominate)

It's that low on Spotify/AM because of the new albums from Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD. It's been pretty consistent on YouTube since it dropped.

Life Is Good's run on the weekly YouTube US Insights chart:

yeah true but these YT numbers are still insane, especially considering how dead is YT in 2020

No Guidance was as massive last year yet it has less than 400M views (both video and audio combined)

Toosie Slide has basically the same amount of Spotify streams yet it still needs to reach 200M views (I'm pretty sure it was also a bigger global hit, and being global = more views, usually).

LIG is obviously getting lots of recommended/next-up listings.

yeah that's what I thought. and that's why I think YT is "messy", AM/Spotify definitely became better tools of how successful a song has been, even despite all the complains about "playlists payola"

US numbers are really poor considering its population, but of course you have to take into account:

- Corona is affecting streams there in particular

- AM is way bigger in the US than the rest of the world (as big if not bigger than Spotify, while AM is kinda irrelevant outside)

- this is not a Summer rich of hits

11 NEW
Morgan Wallen - 7 Summers

This is huge for a country artist. I've noticed that some country artists do better on Apple Music than Spotify
