She's more of a performer than a serious song writer, everyone knows that, so of course Grammy are not in the cards. Her numbers are completely fine, even her obscure EP non singles have better daily streams right now than recent hits like Break My Soul - so she has a big fanbase already.

Tate's generation is on TikTok and not Instagram

 

On Instagram: Tate has 5.1M vs Selena's 423M - that is 1.2%

On Tik Tok: Take has 8.2M vs Selena's 52.1M - that is 15.73% which is a much better percentage.

 

And speaking of Dua Lipa:

Instagram - 87.5M which is 1700% compared with Tate

Tiktok - 10.6M which is only 130% compared with Tate

1- Your choice of Selena is not good, simply because Selena is too big a star and her celebrity reaches far beyond music alone (movie, Rare Beauty, celebrity tabloid)

2- Your choice of Dua Lipa suggests that Dua Lipa is failing to connect with younger audience. How come she has so many Instagram followers yet not that many more TikTok followers? (1) Either her Instagram number is inflated or (2) most likely because she fails to connect with the younger audience on TikTok like Tate 

 

The thing is, it's already hard to establish a star in this age. In this current generation (Gracie Abrams etc) - Tate is a star

someone already mentioned to you on the first page that she has a worldwide arena tour that sold out immediately and added more dates due to demand, so that's clearly not true. she's got a big base on tiktok and that is what counts the most in 2024 - the potential is still there and generally artists do take years and multiple releases to establish nowadays.  

 

besides, she doesn't need to be the absolute biggest and most undeniable artist in the world and that's totally fine too. that isn't the measure of success for everyone.

Be completely serious now.. Selena has been in the Disney machine since she was 7. 

Tate only had her mainstream break out last year. Since then her career has been growing steadily and she's off to do an arena tour after just finishing her world tour. She's doing fine but yall dont allow artists to grow. Someone does not become an established artist overnight.

i do think tate needs to work on her... emoting? or whatever. although it kinda looks like maybe she went too hard w the botox because girl's brows are staying PUT no matter the occasion.
