Billboard Music Awards exclude projects that weren't released within the tracking period/had bulk of their success within a previous tracking period. This is why Morgan Wallen's One Thing At A Time was not in Top BB200 Album's 5 nominees despite being #3 on the actual year-end. Taylor's sales for the Country Year-End charts are coming from projects released before the tracking period.

How does your ******* cult ass fan base go from celebrating the errors tour breaking every record, Taylor sweeping every major category at this irrelevant award show to complaining about one of her peers getting something.

Insecure, greedy, and annoying. Pick a struggle.

Wait. Taylor wasn't even NOMINATED for this award and the Swifties are still complaining! :deadbanana2:

I wonder if they same outrage would be happening for Lainey Wilson "paid for it" too.

For it to have been her 50th win, she would've needed to have been nominated...

So which of Lainey Wilson or Megan Moroney should have won instead? Because Taylor wasn't even in the running for this award. Or does that not factor into this "everything Beyoncé ever achieves is bought by her" narrative you've deluded yourselves into believing? :celestial5:

The nominations are based on chart performance :rip: I'm saying they didn't nominate her so they could give the award to Beyoncé out of pity

They only do that for singles and albums, not for "artist" categories. Beyoncé was nominated for Dance/Electronic artist because of Renaissance's recurrent sales. It's fine to accept it's a pity award

That's not what you were saying though, was it? :) You said that Taylor "won loads of other big categories" that night, so that's why they gave it to Beyoncé as "pity win". That wouldn't make any sense if you were referring to the nominations.

But sure, let's pretend it's us being dumb and not you not realising that Taylor wasn't even nominated for this award. Just like the other Swifties whining in this thread didn't. :fan:

Do you even know how the BBMAs work? Winners were decided before they even announced the nominees. They knew every category Taylor would win before they even announced it so her exclusion from that category was intentional. Y'all are never beating those allegations :deadbanana2:

Taylor lost against Beyonce.

Taylor lost against Beyonce.

Taylor sells more, Beyonce is better.

Taylor sells more, Beyonce is better.

And yet, that's not what you were referring to in your comment and we can all see that. :) But nice attempt at pivoting there! Swifties sobbing and whinging that Beyoncé stole this award from Taylor "her 50th win!!!11" when she wasn't even nominated. :lmao: Swifties; the perpetual victims. Never beating those most insecure fan base allegations. :rip:

Taylor Swift is named Billboard's top country female artist of the year without any country release in 2024.

Is this supposed to be a praise about Taylor's "power"?

Posted

Apparantly, it's because Taylor didn't release any "country music" this year.

All she had to do was release Mary's Song (Oh My My My) (Taylor's Version) as a flop gift for the fans back in January, and she would've gotten this award over Beyoncé.

The award is in other words not very meaningful.

The way you guys just can't help yourselves. If Taylor doesn't win something, it's irrelevant, or "not very meaningful". You can't just be happy for another artist, or just move tf on. It's genuinely pathetic.

If Taylor wasn't nominated for the televised (?) event then why is she on the year-end chart at all? Why are there nominees in the first place if the award will always go to that one act who sold the most since it's based on objective data and numbers? The BBMAs make no sense at all.

Swiftie's still upset at Taylor being #2. It's haunting them. #2 was generous since it was called "The greatest artist"

I can't believe Beyonce is so powerful and influential the BBMAs would go to the trouble of not only rigging the win but also the nominations just so they could use her name for clout. Only the Greatest Popstar of the Century :clap3:

She was nominated cause of My House actually, but yeah, it seems catalogue units count when they choose who wins, but not who gets nominated (unless there's at least 1 eligible release).

Yet Swifties are still raging over Bey winning this not very meaningful award. Just to show how insecure the Swifties are :skull::gayoncecat3:

What? All I'm saying is Taylor was the biggest artist in country of the year, but was disqualified because she didn't actually release a country song during the year. Bey won because of a technicality. If it was the other way around, I would've also admitted that.

Swift stopped releasing country music like a decade ago. If that doesn't explain it for you, I don't know what will.
