Taylor is Top Country Female Artist (TCFM) but Beyoncé won BBMAs TCFM. Why?

You just have to assume anything related to Billboard and Beyonce is payola at this point.

Sounds like, despite having no evidence, you've made up a narrative again and are trying to paint it as a fact. This is starting to become a habit of yours. :fan:

Award based on numbers, beyonce receives awards despite not being #1 by the numbers.

Is another bought award really that big surprise for you? She's been buying credits and awards for decades, what's another one?

Taylor won a lot of big categories so they probably gave this pity win to Beyoncé so she wouldn't walk out empty handed. A shame 'cause this would be Taylor's 50th win

For it to have been her 50th win, she would've needed to have been nominated...

So which of Lainey Wilson or Megan Moroney should have won instead? Because Taylor wasn't even in the running for this award. Or does that not factor into this "everything Beyoncé ever achieves is bought by her" narrative you've deluded yourselves into believing? :celestial5:

Taylor didn't release any Country song or album during the eligibility period = no nomination, even with huge sales of her country releases.

Bey was nominated and did better than the other 2.

and what's more, Taylor agrees that Beyoncé is the best. OP is basically saying their fave is wrong. Tut tut, I'm sure Taylor wouldn't be happy they're dissing her fave.

lol. you thought you ate. we drag her for many things and disagreeing with her is included.

if you are unable to give an explanation for my question, just ignore my thread. jeez

Here's the explanation: Taylor Swift wasn't nominated for this award. Beyoncé was and was the most successful of the nominees, therefore won the award. Hope that helps.

Your thread makes no sense because Taylor was not even nominated for the country award. :rip: You expected her to win an award she's not nominated? You can't be that slow.

I think there are bigger problems in her life you should worry about instead defending her cashing in another award :)

Oop, that blew a hole in your narrative, didn't it? :fan: Here's a tip; take a break from spouting these lies in multiple threads. Particularly when they're so easy to disprove. You'll save yourself the embarrassment.

Unfortunately, we don't work for Billboard. So we can't answer that question for you. Maybe you could try dropping them an email and begging them to explain?

Because one Swiftie thread about this wasn't enough, apparently. :deadbanana2: Never beating those "most insecure fanbase" allegations. :toofunny3:

THIS. They're so bothered by a Living Legend who has actually contributed more to the music industry other than just selling her fans perceived obsolescence time and time again, then wondering why her impact isn't felt outside of the Swiftspace. :siptea:

A shame that she wasn't even nominated and it makes you look like a clown.

Girl, you turned it into a fan war with that OP. Don't play dumb. :deadbanana4: You got exactly what you wanted, you just didn't realise that Taylor wasn't even nominated for the award in the first place.

Because the Billboard award doesn't only take into account chart success. Beyoncé had an actual contribution to country music this year, a very good one I should add.

Unlike other ceremonies, the Billboard Music Awards are explicitly based solely on chart metrics and intentionally mirror the year-end charts. This thread's question - or perhaps that of why Taylor wasn't nominated for the award at all - arises because this is one of the only times there has ever been a discrepancy between a particular award and the corresponding year-end chart result. That's why I personally think there's a (potentially unpublished) rule behind the scenes requiring an artist to release at least one track eligible for the genre chart in question during the tracking period to be eligible for the overall genre awards; that's the only way this result really lines up with the stated intent of the BBMAs.

Beyonce paid for her nomination, and also paid for Taylor to not be nominated
