HMHAS as a whole album feels bigger, the albums is an experience 

 

S&S had big singles. The hits might make it feel like she was everywhere

 

But the album itself HMHAS was the biggest this year

I also think that if we delete pure sales these 2 albums are definitely the top2 this year

Girl… TTPD might have chart numbers, but as an era it did not have as much influence. Taylord's relevancy, which is the biggest for a single artist, didn't translate to the album as a cultural phenomenon, even Brat outdid TTPD in that regard, and this is obviously true for the two aforementioned records.
