blown away Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Such a gorgeous song. It deserves a lot more appreciation than it got back in 2009. 3 1
greeneyedsoul Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Funny how Happy is both the best and worst track of all time. Leona's is the best song of all time, Pharrell's Happy is the worst. 3 2
Littlejfrey Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Oh the twist they don't make music videos like this anymore, what a shame The song is gorgeous 3
reymiu Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago My Hands is still the hit that got away from this album, but yeah Happy is cute too Anyway let me stream One More Sleep 4
Daddy Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Love the song too but *****, that thumbnail scared the **** out of me 3
Dante Silva Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) I've always liked this. It should have been as big as "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. At one point, I believe "Avatar" was considered the most successful movie of all time. I don't feel we've ever received full clarity on why Leona squashed it after it was given a video and the expectation that the theme would reflect the success of its parent movie. Because Syco wanted Leona to promote the album (Echo) during Christmas 2009 instead of the song Biggest mistake of her career, Syco / Simon Cowell deserve jail for mismanaging Leona and wasting this golden opportunity! They had her release the album and promote "I Got You" as the 2nd single from the album in Nov. When IGY flopped they got her to sing "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" on XFactor in Dec, probably to recapture Run's previous success but it flopped too. Basically in December 2009 Leona kept promoting "Happy" (already peaked in Sep) + IGY (flopped) + SCYHO (didn't make any noise). Meanwhile Avatar was slaying the box office during the same period (Dec 2009 - Feb 2010) and "I See You" had organic interest. 3
Nashe Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago did they keep the 128 kbps quality of the sound though? I feel like if Leona emerged today she would be one of the biggest artists ever. An artist like her wasn't meant to last in the obscure pop landscape of the early 2010s
aedeus Posted 13 minutes ago Posted 13 minutes ago I love this song, album an video. I think this is Leona's best music video actually. The cinematography, the location (Cuba), the storytelling and even the actors (who are gorgeous but look like normal people at the same time) are really top notch!
