The only relatively subjective points here I guess is fanbase and maybe influence. I think Gagas influence is more easy to recognize because it has more to do with visuals.

Tay of course. You can see multiple artists in mainstream admitting she inspired them (Gaga has Chappell too but Tay has more sons)

And most of Gaga's "impact" is just her fans bragging about how omnipresent she was in 2010 but Tay has done that as well and on a much bigger level

I say all this as a LIFELONG Little Monster. Gaga will always be the only other artist I consider myself to stan. I know these polls are fun, but the only place Gaga has a subjective chance here (and it's a great chance!) is talent. Anyone who has ever paid an ounce of attention to the music industry knows the answer to every other question. Taylor is incomparable to any other contemporary artist and trying to pit her against them is unfair and makes people look delusional.Β

I cannot stress enough that this isn't shade to Gaga. Anyone trying to convey a SPEC of objectivity knows that influence, fanbase, success, and peak are only in competition if you're comparing Taylor to the Beatles, MJ, or Madonna. It's okay to dislike her, but please be serious. Even music publications like Billboard acknowledge this.

I just don't understand how an adult who has access to the same information we all do can type this and mean it. It's such insane delusion. Taylor's oldest albums are nearing two decades old and her catalogue has recurrent performance only comparable to The Beatles. The bedrock of The Eras Tour's success is how beloved her entire catalogue is. Her recurrent streams AND sales are incomparable to any contemporary artist. Like just add to YOU. It's not that hard.Β
