Is xtina too small for Coachella?

Omg I would actually love her to headline, she just needs one more hit to get into GP again and then, she'd be perfect for it.

 

She has the hits and stage presence to perform on that stage

she's in a very tricky situation, she's not too small but not big enough so she falls in this limbo that makes her hard to place and sell within the culture of the festival 

 

coachella invites random indie cult niche bands and artists too, so, unless she's willing to perform very early in smaller stages, i can't see her really getting the gig

She's an icon but she's not relevant enough to have her name plastered as the biggest name and it also would be disrespectful to put her below the biggest names. 

 

It's a hard thing with her brand. Not relevant but also an icon.

She's so skinny I'm afraid the crowd wouldn't be able to see her. It's better that she sticks with the smaller venues where she's closer to the audience.

People will go to Coachella regardless of what's really headlining. A few B listers, some C listers and the very possible A listers… it's about being there and doing drugs. Christina is iconic enough imo (and A List). Her singing a house remix of Beautiful to a crowd on psychedelics is soft work.

Glastonbury has a legends slot, for acts who don't really have much draw as a headliner but enough hits that they'd still pull in a crowd - she'd be ideal for something like that

I think she can do a "Special Guest Star" like No Doubt last year. It fits them perfectly. I don't see her headlining the festival, but also she won't be the second billing as well.

Imo the best way for xtina to make a comeback in this day and age is for her to do a random edm collab with david guetta  or Calvin Harris and maybe another collab with another artist. Do some collabs with Latin artist. Music that ain't attach to her new album but just give her more exposure. Keep performing at music festivals.

She needs a new album first. I've done a deep dive in so many pop girls discographies but never really bothered with her for some reason. I tried Stripped but personally it wasn't my cup of tea. She has a lot of talent and edge tho. I don't understand why she's not releasing albums. The GP needs something more palatable than Liberation.

David Guetta and Calvin Harris? Is this 2014? Jesus.

 

i agree with you for the most part that she'd definitely benefit from more collaborative efforts, especially with Latin artists - but I don't think doing the washed up dance queen act will benefit her.

It's not "disrespectful" to be in smaller stages at big festivals, especially if it's a veteran that is way past their prime... that happens. But yeah knowing Xtine she wouldn't accept it and could see it as "beneath" her. But a stage is a stage.

Edm is still one of the most popular genres in radio and Spotify. So idk what exactly you're talking about.

If her next English album is more commercial then she will for sure get it.
