nothing honestly - people were upset when she lost despite having the most acclaim. the competition this year is different - i can see Chappell winning it for producing such quality work, too.

 

I am thinking Act III is going to win AOTY based on the supposive genre

I don't think the public is invested enough in Cowboy Carter or the Grammys altogether to really care.  This is mostly just a Stan issue.

Nothing. People seriously overestimate how much the public cares for or gets upset by the actual Grammy wins.

For the vast majority of the audience, the Grammys are just one big free concert on their TVs. The awards are just secondary.

I think the reactions will largely depend on who wins instead

The better question is what's going to happen if she WINS because it seems that even her fan base isn't rooting for CC and most people think Billie deserves it more. So if she wins maybe people will complain and say it's undeserving this time around, downplaying her win as a pity award.

Nothing, and quite frankly it's almost guaranteed she's not winning, the competition and the circumstances are very different this year. She was robbed of AOTY in 2015, that one was painful.
