I know this doesn't have that much weight but, what was she thinking putting out Lucky as the first taste of the album :deadbanana:

What else could she have put? :deadbanana2:

Ego, Lonely is the Muse, Panic Attack are much better and sorta more radio friendly than Yucky imo

Ego and PA would've been the only other ones but I don't think they represent the album well imo

People make their joke Katy Perry comparisons, but I think she's actually more of a Kesha. Trendy, hit songs and collabs made they popular, then they were dropped like rocks as soon as they changed their sound and added more emotional depth to their material. :emofish:

Kesha suffered due to a lawsuit-imposed absence from the music industry for half a decade and RCA's accompanying intentional label sabotage of her following eras, the former of which also ruined her chances to properly transition from a digital era artist into the streaming era. All while being forced to fight against one of the most powerful players in the music industry for 10 years.

Gag Order was literally dumped into the world by RCA without any kind of effort so that Kesha could finally leave them and say goodbye to the major label system, there wasn't even the plan to turn this album into a success (and neither did she intend to do so).

I see where you're coming from, but I think the context overall makes it very different from Halsey's situation.
