i'd focus any criticisms on genuine issues like the colour grading, lighting and camera work. the set is so beautiful and to see it look so washed out in the clips so far is sad

Wicked (2024) is made for Dolby, IMAX etc theaters. you're going to hear every word she says, trust. it would make the film INSUFFERABLE to the general audience if it were made to abide by musical theater fanatics and couch critics' wishes.

 

part of musical theater acting is about projection, because you want people in the audience to hear you clearly. they do use mics now for even on-stage performances, so you do not need to tear your anus screaming and dictating every syllable.
