glitch Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Taylor has recently helped Sabrina, Gracey Abrams and lately Griff get some traction. Going back a bit, she assisted Ed Sheeran's break out in the US and she's indirectly affected the come up of people like Olivia by being a major inspiration for them. Now we get onto Ciara. Taylor had Ciara cameo in her video for You Need To Calm Down and promoted her album, Beauty Marks on her story. Unfortunately Cici is still in the khia asylum and it doesn't seem Taylor has been able to help her escape. Why is this? 5
The Music Industry Posted November 11 Posted November 11 She associated with Ciara during the cursed era that was Lover. What can you expect? 1 6
B-Luke Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Well.. would you want to be endorsed by ME! era Taylor? 12
Taylor fanboy Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) Loser era is cursed. See Halsey, Brendon Urie, The Chicks, Shawn Mendes, The Clean Bandit, Ellen Degeneres, Demi Lovato, Joel Little, Jack Antonoff, Louis Bell, Shania Twain, Carole King etc. Edited November 11 by Taylor fanboy 10
Dula Peep Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) didn't she try to push Camila ? Edited November 11 by Dula Peep
chaklux Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Ciara is largely a legacy act (and I don't mean this as a shade). It's difficult to help artists that the GP already experienced at their peak. All these other artists you listed are people that majority of the GP were yet to discover. 3
Tayman Posted November 11 Posted November 11 After the Lover era COVID-19 happened. Draw your conclusions.

Josh Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Because no one thinks about Ciara musically in 2024 she's Mrs. Russell Wilson

Johnny Jacobs Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Ciara is stuck with the 2006 step up sound. All she needed was new producers
genio Posted November 11 Posted November 11 "Khia asylum" for Ciara? You know that Ciara is one of the biggest artists in r&b history, right? With over 8 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, 4 Top 3 albums and a #1 on each the BB200 & Hot 100, I believe that Ciara is far away from even being considered a Khia. It's sad how underrated Ciara's career is just because her stats do not align with those of Beyonce or Rihanna. Ciara had a huge start in the early 2000s and continued to slay throughout the decade. Her success slowed down in the 2010s, but that didn't stop her to bag a lot more iconic hits in the r&b world (Ride, Body Party and Level Up are all classics). Her self titled fifth album, released in 2013, even debuted at #2, proving that Ciara still had it in her. In the 2020's, now as an independent artist, Ciara focuses more on her private and personal life. Her family, kids and husband are her priority and even with this, she continues to release music. She released a great EP just last year that has the r&b hit "How We Roll" featured in it. Hopefully Ciara will continue to release music and give us another studio album, it's been 5 years since the last one. 3 5
JonginBey Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Ciara did her thing in her prime, and thinking the Swifties were going to support a Black woman (especially when her music is nothing like Taylor's) was your first mistake. 1 4

Rotunda Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Ciara had her moment before Taylor even broke through. The fact that Ciara finds ways to stay culturally relevant and get charting songs here and there is actually kinda admirable.

JO1s Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Didn't she have level up during this time? A smash for someone as far into her career tbh. 2
Doctor Dick Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) Acts that haven't broken through despite releasing after Eras tour support: Beabadoobee: #34 on the Billboard 200 Girl in Red: Last single N/A on charts, album #183 MUNA: Last single N/A on charts HAIM: Have been associated with Taylor for years but haven't charted better than they did before they started hanging out and supporting Taylor Gayle: Flop Owenn: Last album N/A on charts. Paramore isn't seeing any comeback and neither is Hayley Williams. Griff's had releases do 500k+ in streams before. This "everyone" is just an exaggeration and reeks of desperation. Just like Taylor's endorsement didn't help Kamala. There's clearly a Taylor copycat smashing right now but that's not enough for the Swifties. That's WILD. Edited November 11 by Doctor Dick 2 1

They have their fanbase, they're mainly in the rock and alternative world and they got an AOTY nomination for Women In Music Pt. III. MUNA, Girl in Red and Beabadoobee are also doing fine for themselves.
skeeyee Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Well having bad music didn't help her waiting for that goodies revival 1
