It took years for her to release Midwest Princess because the pandemic happened and her label dropped her. I'm assuming that's why she's jumped into writing and recording her second album so quickly.

yes, she drip-fed people Midwest Princess between 2020-2023. 9 of the songs on the album were already out as singles prior to the album release. kind of insane actually.

so I imagine she's already had some stuff from end of 2023-early 2024, and now must be finalizing her sophomore album. I don't expect the album this year, TBH, she's prolly dropping a song this week to perform it on SNL on Saturday, as previously speculated by some folks here.

Yeah especially since she has proven to have a decent chunk of pure sales customers.

Give us another 80s bops album :jonnycat:

I am a bit sad cause there are so many songs they deserve to smash ( red wine , casual , super ultra , karma ) even Hottogo should be bigger

BUT excited for another album and a proper tour

Serve the quality you served in GLB and I might have to apply for a stan card

Hopefully less Midwest Princess (I know, hot take) and more Good Luck, Babe.

She better be serving Shania Twain (Any Man of Mine, Honey, I'm Home) like she said she would be. spacer.png

I just know her personality and charisma would SERVE that sound so well.

I think a re-release is more likely considering how heavy she's been touring.

From what I recall she just said that she doesn't think it'll be the next single and is indecisive about when it'll come out (mentioned here and here). Doesn't mean that it won't be on the next album or formally released as a single eventually (or at least I really hope so - it's kinda her best song :duca: plus I've already seen it go viral so it has huge potential)

If GLB is anything to go by, it's gonna be really, really good and way better than Midwest Princess. Hopefully she adds it to the album and doesn't leave it as a standalone.

The album is gonna be missing out on some 2 billion streams without it so itd be stupid on their part to leave it off.
