How can a list of sales predominantly from Japan reflect the most successful western artists in Asia?

China and India alone account for 2.8 billion of Asia's 4.6 billion people, yet their music consumption isn't being considered at all here, while a country with only 125 million is often seen as the benchmark for who the biggest western artists are across a continent of 4.6 billion.

Also, Middle Eastern Countries, Central Asia, and Russia.

If only we have ways to determine their consumption too, it would be interesting who would be vying for the top spot.

Most probably, it would still be Mariah (or Michael), and Taylor might be in the top 5.

I think Taylor might become #1 in SPS. I can recall 1989 being the best selling Western album in India back in like 2015. Also, RnB/AC is more popular in East/SE Asia while pop is liked all across Asia.
