stevenisFADING Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago i guess i don't mind the dialogue. it just takes me back to the scene.
Miles. Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago This is fantastic. As someone who has never seen the musical and didn't know any of the songs (except Popular [Yours Truly Edition]), I'm blown away. No One Mourns The Wicked, The Wizard And I, What Is This Feeling, Popular, and Defying Gravity are spectacular. And yes, like others have said, I would love a radio edit of Defying Gravity, and I think it could be a Let It Go / We Don't Talk About Bruno sized smash 1
eclipsed Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago What is it about Defying Gravity, haven't even seen the movie yet and I wanna cry. Its really a stunning piece of music. I honestly hope they win all the awards
BODERLINE Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The Defying Gravity comments in here make absolutely no sense. They DID cut the dialogue. There isn't anything in this album version that isn't in other cast recordings. This version is just longer and has more space between sections, with some extra instrumental and orchestrations in spots. But the version on the album IS the radio edit of the film version — which has even more breaks and dialogue. And this is an adaptation of a broadway musical, not standard pop songs. A radio edit would defeat the whole purpose. There is one single additional dialogue line that they left in from the movie. Everything else is the same as in Idina/Kristen's recording. Y'all are acting like they left in Michelle's dialogue from the movie scenes 2
