Is this the most riveting movie scene in years?

Say what you want about Civil War, but this scene still lives rent-free in my head. I was literally moved to tears during this part & at the death of a certain character as a result of this encounter. And the fact that Kirsten Dunst played this part alongside her husband is..... well damn.

Is there a more frightening scene from any film/show in the past few years (Warning, SPOILER & graphic content ahead!) ?

No. The scene in Alien Romulus when the face hugger puts its tentacle thing in Archie Renaux's mouth was more riveting 👄

I've heard mixed reviews on this movie. Do you recommend that I watch?

It's a decent-enough watch but the more you think about it the dumber it feels

OT: not particularly, though it is fairly unsettling

I tried to watch yesterday but I got bored

No, Civil War was boring and forgettable, sadly.

That would be the activator scene in The Substance I fear

I think the Get Ready With Elisabeth Sparkles (Went Wrong!) scene was extremely riveting. I now fear to look at the mirror because I might repeat her steps.
