Shaner69 Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Honestly she did wait till after the debate which was ok. However it didn't really look good for her before. I don't think anyone should be pointing fingers and it very great that she addressed it.

Hmm. waiting until the eleventh hour while galavanting with trump supporters at Travis' games while also having the history of dating a racist Matty Healy and being besties with Blake Lively who had an antebellum themed lifestyle brand to go with her plantation wedding…. she associates with republicans. Most people don't cast aside their world views that easily to DATE someone as vile as matty. assuming that she is always voting dem is NOT implied. When her fans berated her for Matty she wrote a song laughing in their faces. but sure jan Edited September 11 by yonsé 1 14

Klein Posted September 11 Posted September 11 At this point, especially with Kamala's campaign selling friendship bracelets + the use of The Man at the end of her speech, I have a hard time imagining that this wasn't coordinated. Up to the hug with Brittany to make sure Taylor was at her peak in the news for maximum impact. Great that she endorsed her, it's for the best, but can we go back to the music now? I'm tired of Taylor constantly being one of the main talking point in political topics. Like that's not what I'm here for. 11
beatluk1 Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Why didn't she speak out about Vienna like that? 1 1

She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. Yall hold her to unrealistic standards when she doesn't owe anyone anything but the entertainment and joy of her music. Your arguments are all in bad faith so I'm not even going to waste my time refuting any of them, so you are more than welcome to continue not liking me. 20 8

truthteller Posted September 11 Posted September 11 While everyone shall be making an informed decision based on their own research, it is a nice thing for her to do it
Lille Posted September 11 Posted September 11 The way every single news outlet and journalist is talking about this and claiming Taylor is the K.O. for Trump's campaign... SHE HAS TOO MUCH POWER!

SHE HAS TOO MUCH POWER! After seeing celebrity endorsements do nothing to move the needle for Hillary - in an election that genuinely feels like a lifetime ago - I hope they're right this time. I hope Taylor's support does something to help keep fascism and Project 2025 at bay. We need every single person we can get to turn out and vote.
romas_ld Posted September 11 Posted September 11 time to release blue vinyl variants of TTPD my queen

Because that issue runs deep and actually creates security threats for her concerts far beyond that of an election endorsement. There are actual religious and political extremists willing to resort to terrorism over the Israel-Palestine conflict. A silly little pop star should not be forced to speak up on something like that (she shouldn't have even had to speak on the election but **** it, she did.) I am all for a ceasefire, the end of the genocide of the Palestinian people, and the return of the land that rightfully belongs to them, but I'm not looking to entertainers for that support. I'm looking to the politicians and legislators that deal with the international affairs. Edited September 11 by PoisonedIvy 4
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted September 11 Posted September 11 At this point it's painful to me how badly ATRL loses every single time they dare come for Taylor. Every single time 10
Achilles. Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Another one! She was so smart for endorsing tonight. Walz live in the studio reacting to the news. A bunch of the late night shows taping live so they can all report the breaking news. The American public fully tuned in to the presidential race. 9

Gladiator Posted September 11 Posted September 11 (edited) Its amazing how many people want her to be a politician and speak on these various world issues whenever she voices her choice in candidate, but criticize her for not doing so when she is silent. And yet, y'all are the first to vote in base threads that say she has no impact and is irrelevant. Make it make sense. Edited September 11 by Gladiator

Squall Posted September 11 Posted September 11 We won't forget about the « fans » who have been insulting her for the past two days though
Katy.Kat.23 Posted September 11 Posted September 11 You know what, she can go ahead and release a few more versions of TTPD 1
