Jay-Z is co-owner of a cognac brand, why are they investing in alcohol I wonder, or why won't she take it from there? I'm so confused by her decisions this year. Aside from her involvement- or lack thereof- around the COWBOY CARTER/BEYINCE vinyls, the notable absence of visuals for a second album in a row, did the hair care line even launch? I saw nothing about it after the announcement but if it did, how easy is it to ditch a venture and move to the next one for billionaires huh.

Not only has the hair care line launched but it has won the following awards/accolades:

The way she's jumping from side hustle to side hustle. :dies:

People need to stop buying these already rich people's cash grabs. :deadbanana2: Buying her music makes sense, but like just buy a cheaper whiskey that's probably better.

Isn't Beyoncé a billionaire? Why is she selling alcohol now :deadbanana2: shameless

When you are rich you get to make passion projects. She's a big whiskey drinker. If given the opportunity to make your own signature perfume catered to your desires, would you not do so? And if you could easily sell it, would you not do that? I'm not sure what "shame" can be involved here in her following her passions and making businesses out of them. It's not like she's marketing diet pills that don't work, or cheap trinkets. All her products have been of exceptional quality. And if you don't get wanting to create for the sake of it and have the possibility to earn more money from it too, then ok.

I never got to see the film and I think it sucks that she is gatekeeping it.

I know a website where you can see it.

You clearly aren't a whiskey drinker because everyone knows cheap whiskey is AWFUL. When you drink whiskey, you're supposed to enjoy the flavor, aroma and how premium it is. Even if she has stopped promoting 'COWBOY CARTER' it works with the music and the overall persona of the era. It very much makes sense, considering it's a passion project just like CECRED.

It also ties into building generational wealth. She has always spoken about that and as a black woman in entertainment it's really a great thing. In the black community we speak about how little of generational wealth we have as a collective and how we don't see it as often. It's really wonderful to see.

It's wonderful to see a billionaire getting even richer bc this will somehow end poverty within the black community? I can't with the amount of reaching y'all do to paint everything this woman does as symbolic or some form of protest.

It's really never that serious. People have been selling alcohol since forever, Beyoncé getting in the mix is not the ultimate evil you're making out to be. Plenty of white celebs are making bank selling alcohol George Clooney and Kendall Jenner have very successful Tequilas for example. I didn't see anyone having meltdowns when they launched theirs and they just did it because they could. At least Beyoncé has the family legacy angle to have an anchor for it's existence. Same goes for Cecred with her mom being a cosmetologist. The point is no one has anyone at gun point to buy anything ANY celeb puts out. So don't let it bother you this much and support what dosent make you so upset. I on other hand would happily support black owned distilleries and alcohol brands Beyoncé's included.

I'm blindly buying items if I think they're of high quality. Couldn't care less who their owner is, unless it's some monster.

The thing with Beyonce is that instead of calling it what it is, a billionaire who wants to expand their businesses (which is fine lol who am I to talk), it is somehow being turned into yet another awe inspiring move she does for the black community. Which is completely unnecessary and false. Few people in the world, black or of any other race, even have 0.1% of her fortune and capital.

Well to be fair I am not that much of a drinker myself.

But I am not going to be as delusional as some other users in here.

So don't buy the alcohol, damn. It's that simple. I never said I was going to buy it, I just stated my perception of her passion project. I never said any of that, you inferred that. Do not project your views onto me.
