If back catalog was the sole factor, why is Beyoncé not doing Taylor numbers? Or Lady Gaga, or Ariana Grande? The relevancy of Taylor's catalog is a direct proof of her relevance in 2024. Those are not streams from 10 years ago, they're streams happening right now, in 2024.

It's still getting 6.1M streams daily. The other female albums that are outstreaming it are all newer than 'Midnights', with the sole exception of 'SOUR', which is literally the ultimate benchmark in streaming success and… other Taylor Swift albums.

Ergo, Taylor's recent released are flops carried by fan sales. The GP doesn't care for her anymore. But good for her that her streams are carried by old songs like Cruel Summer and august. She's FABULOUS for a throwback.

You could add the total units of all 4 albums and it would still not be enough to surpass 'TTPD'.  

Maybe the GP should care more about those other album, perhaps then one of them could finally reach multi-platinum status in any major market.

It's the one facet of her public identity she can still use to victimize herself. Any normal person would be deemed mentally unstable and obsessive after 10 years of perseverating on and publicly addressing the same beef. Taylor keeps stoking the embers of this drama because she's so famous and out of touch that by victimizing herself continuously, she thinks she'll maintain some relatability and on top of that, her deluded fans eat it up every time and she continues to make more money. She's very narcissistic and anyone denying that is in denial.
