Well she deserves it but (even if the prize rewards video clips), it bothers me that they reward a woman who works with a predator. Bad signal idk.

 

We also have confirmation that the Vmas are worthless, because giving this award a few days before the release of this artist's album is just conformation that it's an arrangement between the ceremony and the label...

If there's any chance of reviving this era, this is the moment. She needs to deliver her best performance yet with her classics and perform a new song from the album. The best song. Lifetimes can get a cute medley moment but she should ignore WW completely.

Ok she does deserve this & I'm honestly surprised she hasn't won it earlier. It'll be crazy embarrassing for her given how she's literally mid-flop and everyone present will know that, but then again she has always had a pretty high tolerance for humiliation so cheers to her i guess

I actually think the timing, while not the best, is much needed. 143 needs it, the Katy brand needs it. If she wants to even try to get some positive reception she needs to remind people why they loved her

No one is saying it will. VMAs are not the same as the 2000s or early 10s anymore. But it's something she has deserved for a long time so it's just gonna be one more achievement to be ticked off for her career.
