"The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job" resurfaces

The views are skyrocketing today. Not her pulling a girl boss deflection about being asked about clothes in a period piece. Especially since nowadays all she wants to discuss is her dresses or hair care line. And this was promoting a Woody Allen film she was in. Her talking about the interviewer's "bump" when she's not the one pregnant. Her barely even looking at that interviewer. The eye rolls at the end. She's SICK. :mazen: How soon until we get another pap walk with Taylor?

Weird as hell, but not only because of Blake, all 3 are to blame

She's ridiculous and has nothing of note to say, like, I literally checked out while she was talking

She's truly the anti-Gwyneth Paltrow

Blake ignoring her and looking at her costar is crazy. :deadbanana4: Just all around yikes. The side eye at the end from that one irrelevant actress too? Girl.

Pregnant women can have hormones and moods. I stand with Blake and bringing up someone's clothes and personal life is inappropriate unless you personally know them

The comments calling her J Lo + Gwyneth are sending me. She's so out of touch!

All Blake ever talks about is fashion and the movie was a period piece... Wardrobe is a huge part of movies.

well, actually she has been promoting this movie as a fun, summer rom-com when its about abuse. that is one of the very real reasons people are upset with her.

you know, I couldn't stand her or her weird husband after finding out the willingly married at a plantation.

This movie was doomed from the start. colleen hoover has loyal stans, but also like the worst hate-readers of all time there's no way everything about this movie wasn't going to get whacked and picked apart. If it wasn't blake it was going to be something else.

The book has a huge following, especially yt women... and they are the most ruthless when it comes to witch hunting. Tbh, Blake should have kept it classy and address the DV topics in the film, which is basically WHY the movie was made. She dug her own grave.

If it were just that, that would be fine. She is talking about and promoting literally anything OTHER than the serious topic that the movie is about. It's tone deaf, to put it kindly. Is a lot of it bandwagon hate? sure. Same thing happened with JLO. The conversation quickly escalated, and people came out of the woodwork to talk about things that had nothing to do with the initial backlash she was a part of, which made it so much worse. The same exact thing is happening with Blake. I personally have never dealt with DV but I can imagine how the people who are affected and triggered by it are feeling.

Well that was a very hard watch - she went out of her way to make the interviewer feel excluded and denigrated. But sadly this type of bullying behaviour from her isn't a surprise to me. There are countless blind items about her (and her husband) being difficult to work with.

It's impressive she manages to be even worse as a person than she is as an actor.

Ahh so this is the new woman we're supposed to hate on for a month

It's really been feeling like that lately. I'm not saying none of them have done anything wrong, but there's just been a lot of targeted hate towards 35+ women in this past year alone. A lot of the worst comments or jokes are from people who normally would call out misogyny too, so they must not realize they are being swept up in the online pile on. Literally making content for some doc in 20 years dissecting all of it lol

I find it really weird how the internet can suddenly decide they dislike a celebrity, and then dig deep in the archives to find one example to solidify their smear campaign out of the billions of recorded interviews out there.

I really don't give a f*ck whether Blake is a good person or not - dogpiling a random actress who doesn't know you exist is a weird way to spend your time and energy.

What's funny with Blake is that she acts like she's a A-Lister but tbh never really was (until yes her current movie).

I think Blake was mostly offended because she was only two months pregnant at the time and her bump was smaller than what most non-pregnant woman her age look like in the US.  Blake's weight has fluctuated a lot over the years, so yes I do think it should be a rule of thumb to not comment on a pregnant woman's body unless they bring it up first or if it's very obvious.

She then killed the interview by following up with a question about costumes... yes I know it's a period piece but the 1-2 punch of commenting on Blake's stomach and then clothes is just bad interview skills, especially coming from a female interviewer.

Now I get why she's good friends with Taylor

Taylor keeps it cute and classy. And she's usually justified for snapping back. This one lives rent free in my mind.

Blake on the other hand kept going on and on and on and then having a full blown side conversation with her co-star, ignoring the interviewer. Lol.
