Namie-Knowles Posted August 9 Posted August 9 (edited) Essay Incoming (I used voice to text for this hence the length. Oopsies) I think what makes this the most funniest thing is that a lot of the Swifties on here who are making comments and defending were the first ones to come for BTS when they were frauding. When Butter chart it for 14 weeks a number one using methods that aren't genuine, when they had several versions for albums to boost sales, when they discounted singles and made several versions upon versions of that single. And when the fan base of BTS would say "well they have the demand and you guys are just mad", the same people currently defending her actions were trying to clock Armys for that pitiful response. I feel like you can easily go back to threads over the last four to five years and see the same users running their mouth about BTS antics. Saying how "the massive and constant releases and variants show just how low the quality of the music was and quality took time." But now that Taylor has adopted BTS methods of selling her music, promoting her music, and achieving records, it's all okay and we're all hating ass *******. I don't even like the group but I'm going to give them their props and admit BTS really did pave the way for this sort of behavior and promotion. It shows that once you are mega popular and you are one of the biggest in your field you don't have to shy away from tactics that would make sense for someone with only half or tenth or a hundredth of your popularity. Taylor Swift is smart in realizing just how much money BTS was making by doing the things they were doing. And rather than keeping to her old methods she updated her plan, as she should if you want to make as much money as you can in a short amount of time, and then proceeded to utilize that strategy. To pop stans I hope you know BTS is coming back full force next year and will do the same exact thing and "break" records again. I'm not gonna hate too much in the hustle I just find it funny the sudden switch up. Hope I don't see any of these users in 2025 screaming for integrity or frauding of records by then. I don't even like BTS either lord. Tl:dr: Stream BRAT Edited August 9 by Namie-Knowles 9 1 2
Shaner69 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 My mom is the best person in the world. She said do not say anything against Swifties. I absutely agree at this point. I'm sorry and I do apologise to your random. Mom said back off they are crazy. I absolutely agree.
State of Grace. Posted August 9 Posted August 9 The timing girl.... Has the number of variants surpassed the number of songs already?

FlyOnTheWall Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Even as a stan one has to admit this feels... extremely insensitive and tacky so shortly after what happened in Vienna .... like doing this before she even addressed the situation herself is WILD 10 1
Feanor Posted August 9 Posted August 9 ATRL continuing to care more about the variants than her own fans do. 3
YR. Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Her publicist sucks. Beyond embarrassing and i'm happy to see sane fans complaining about it online Very tone-deaf to release this amid the terrorist threats 6 1

PartyFavor Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I am not a hater, so I don't want to hear anything. but what i am going to say is releasing variants constantly for weeks (that provide no meaningful value to the album as a piece of ART) does not translate to deserving to top charts. the music would speak for itself if it was destined to spend weeks at the top of the charts. preying on your own base that would buy a bag of air if she said she whispered into it and sealed it, is not genuine. To me, her success off the heels of these variants is not deserved and hyper-manufactured in the ugliest of ways. Taylor has been in the industry since being a kid. Its okay to admit that she has not ever really lived as a normal working adult, and is a capitalist queen first and foremost. 2
Richie.Valdez Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I'm glad to see she got her priorities straight.. no statement for her Vienna fans.. its not like she even writes them though.. the redhead was probably busy collecting these mashups.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I love taylor and her music. But I am genuinely curious on how she can have so much vaulted music and still tour extensively. Like she must be working double overtime…. Cuz it's way too much music. but she making money. History and the swifties seem fine with the overbundance of content. So eh 1
