Crazydaysandnights is one of the most unreliable blind sources pls

These blinds make literally no sense considering Megan is independent and only has a distribution deal with Warner.

Cardi is actually signed to Atlantic they're going to prioritize their actual artists.

Her not wanting to release another album in 6 years doesn't take away the fact that album was massive. She really doesn't have to release another one

no one is trying to take that away lmao

the thread is about cardi today not making the label money, an album from 2018 doesn't solve that

obv I was referring to an album -> a tour -> big money for the label

Idk why Cardi's label hasn't just forced her to release an album by now.

Bigger artists have been forced to release within much stricter deadlines…

Every song from IOP is platinum. The music video views are insane. The record label made a huge profit off this album. She's still making them money off of an album release 6 years ago. Up is the highest selling solo female rap song of the decade. Let's not pretend like the label is losing money on Cardi

never said they were (as I said, ROI lol) - this is a now a spun off argument over a correction to one person's post lol

you said they didn't get the investment returned. Which was false and not a correction of anything

that's not what I said at all because it's not not what return on investment means :skull:

edIt: ROI refers to the profitability of an investment. You don't invest expecting a direct return of the investment, so success is measured in how many times over is returned (not, what you think I was saying - i.e. that they "lost' money). All I have said is that the label would love her to have an album on a tour to get a ton back while she was so 'hot' in culture. Cheers!

not so sure I agree, though that could change with the tip of a hat so I don't feel very strongly about it

Well that tip should have already happened since Megan released a whole album and barely did a dent

Debuting at #2, has a solo number one,  a song pulling 2M streams per day and a successful world tour but she barely made a dent :rip: The way this forum keeps lying about Megan.

why would Atlantic give their artist's budget to someone who has a distribution deal with Warner, instead of to an artist from their roster?

Atlantic is Warner's American distributor, so they probably handle everything related to pushing her in the United States.

yes but meg is not really on warners roster, she just signed a distribution deal with them through her own label. i doubt they're giving her budgets cause what she makes them is pennies
