SmittenCake Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Code names are used to mask the identities of the artists. Quote Nip/Tuck is signed to the ocean label which is owned by Warner. Guess who has a deal with Warner that is making them very happy? The Hot female rapper who survived the leprechaun shooting. Her album sales are low but she makes a fortune on tour so Warner wants her to be their main girl. She is nice to their staff unlike Nip/Tuck. The label knows Nip/Tuck only got pregnant to avoid touring because the dates of the meeting about the tour line up with her due date. They are tired of her games so are going to give her budget to the Hot rapper who was shot by the crazy leprechaun. That means better videos, more radio and a bigger advances for them. Nip/Tuck would like her fans to compare her to the new rappers but her label is furious because they only signed so she could compete with the Mattel female rapper .She will be dropped if she doesn't sell 300,000 authentic copies in week 1 but will be allowed to say she left the label so she can be independent. Her fans will have egg on their face if they don't do the 300k because they have had six years to organize and claim Nip/Tuck's old album sells millions every year. They should have no problem with the 300k target then. Right? Everyone is watching. X~MoviePoP Posted August 5 Posted August 5 None of this should be discussed until the numbers and influence from cardis 2nd album comes out
Bosque Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Not sure how this is a rumor, if I were a label exec I would also invest in the artist who makes music and is successful, as opposed to the artist who shoots commercials and is not successful. That's common sense I fear Edited August 5 by Bosque 4

Miracle Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I mean...unfortunately for Megan it's not working...she's doing arenas now but without hits she'll be soon doing theaters and then be an opening act again. They need to give her more powerful collabs 1 2
punisher Posted August 5 Posted August 5 the conspiracies nobody is expecting cardi to sell 300k and no label is gonna drop an artist based off of ONLY first week sales i was also told by yall that cardi signed a 360 so according to that why wouldn't they drop her after a tour since that is where all the real money comes in 2 1

Nefertiti0 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 why would Atlantic give their artist's budget to someone who has a distribution deal with Warner, instead of to an artist from their roster?
GAGAxMONSTER Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I don't completely understand. Why Megan? Isn't Bongos a joint flop for both of them?

ImpressMeMuch Posted August 5 Posted August 5 not hot female rapper, mattel female wrapper and then... nip/tuck
Raver Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Op salivating at blind items/rumors This one don't even sound real, likeee Megan first week sales: 100k + 63k + 64k = 227k Invasion of Privacy = 255k 1 1 1

Mornings Posted August 5 Posted August 5 So I'm expected to believe Cardi got pregnant so she didn't have to tour? And that she can't have meetings virtually over zoom or on the phone about a tour? Makes no sense at all. Just another rage-baiter wanting to turn the two fan bases against each other 1 1

It's been 6 years and no other female rap album has surpassed its first week sales and it sure as hell ain't going to be Megan Thee Stallion 1
ImpressMeMuch Posted August 5 Posted August 5 @SmittenCake you just had to wait a few more min, rather than a blind item you could have posted about the public meltdowns her and Ken are sharing videos of looks like one was protecting someone, but the other involved throwing a mans phone and stepping on it ldsja;fasd - just walk away girl! 1 1

Raver Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Just now, ImpressMeMuch said: yes, 6 years of not seeing a return on their investment Her not wanting to release another album in 6 years doesn't take away the fact that album was massive. She really doesn't have to release another one 1
