KasioKas Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Quote The Braxtons are back. The musical family is returning to TV three years after the end of their show Braxton Family Values and two years following the devastating death of Traci Braxton. The new, eight-episode series offers "a raw and unfiltered look" at the Braxton sisters – Toni, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar – and their mom, Evelyn Braxton, as they navigate careers, health challenges, and complicated personal lives. X Quote "We've dealt with a lot, and so we have a lot to share," family matriarch Miss E says in the clip. "As a matter of fact, the Braxtons never should have gone away." "I'm glad that we're back. But the other part of it is, I know that we have a missing piece that is never going to be the same without her," Towanda says of filming the new show without her sister Traci. Quote "Braxton Family Values" aired for seven seasons on We TV, from 2011 to 2020, and also spawned the spinoff series "Tamar & Vince." The run was marked by occasional disagreements between the Braxton family and We TV over their compensation for the show. Tamar later cut ties with We TV after she alleged that the network "betrayed…overworked, and underpaid" her. At the time, which came after an attempt to take her own life, Tamar also highlighted the need for there to be a union for reality TV personalities, writing on social media that they currently have "no formal representation that protects our labor, our rights, our voices." (Such a conversation has become more prevalent inside the unscripted series community over the past year.) As for the new series, We TV shared an update on the family members: "This season will feature Toni launching her Las Vegas residency, 'Love and Laughter,' with Cedric the Entertainer at the Cosmopolitan. Towanda is balancing business and motherhood as she raises two teenagers, all while playing a major role in the life of her nephew, Kevin, who is navigating life without his mother, Traci. Trina is balancing her businesses and being a mother to her two sons navigating adulthood. And Tamar is expanding her music and media empire, balancing motherhood, and navigating how to juggle it all."

She asked them to continue on with the show in her honor. It's the least they could do because they didn't treat her nicely while she was here.
