Taylor absolutely could sway a few voters. Beyoncé's target demographic isn't gen-z and everyone knows she'll vote for Kamala anyway. its not about if they know bey is voting for kamala or not. The fact that bey licensed freedom for her to use was covered by every news outlet and a lot people reacted positively to that in their enthusiasm for kamala. If bey did a post on why Kamala should get the vote or tell people to register, people whether her fanbase or not and esp black women/girls will follow.
piotrert Posted August 4 Posted August 4 The only thing celebrities should do is to encourage people to vote, which is what Taylor been doing and what made Twitter slacktivist very furious lol
Totami Legend Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) Taylor is the most powerful artist in the world, Kamala could easily win with her endorsement. Edited August 4 by Totami Legend

She isn't anywhere close to Taylor's influence & popularity. and the response was 40 percent higher i'd be mad asf cos it looks like one person brought down the project average and it ain't bey 1

If I had a disability that is none of your business and not how you'd ask someone if you genuinely wanted to know, but I don't think that was your concern as much as making fun of me and reinforcing stereotypes, but go off sis to protect your fave! People living in $200 million houses in CA seem like the prime audience for Trump's policies. I wouldn't be surprised if any celebrity votes opposite of how they publicly endorse. 1
Hunter_13 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Idk last time Taylor endorsed that democratic guy in Tennessee against that Marsha Blackburn republican woman and she ended up with a bigger % win than him. If anything, her endorsement made republicans actually vote.
Rv1709 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Taylor ain't getting involved at all + Hillary had Katy and Beyonce last time IIRC- what happened? Also Hillary had a superior political experience + was white

The candidate taylor endorsed for a senate race in her home state lost by a landslide. So yeah its not a guarantee for all celebs. Democratic candidate's vote share in Tennessee Senate elections 2012 - 30% 2018 - 44%

FailSafe Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Can celebrities influence people to vote? YES. Can celebrities influence people who to vote? NO. 1
