Kingdom Posted August 4 Posted August 4 In a new poll conducted for Newsweek, 34 percent of Gen Z respondents said they were "significantly more likely" or "more likely" to vote for a candidate endorsed by Swift. That figure jumped up for Beyoncé at 40 percent. Do you think taylor and beyonce should publicly endorse Kamala? I know bey already allowed her music to be used but i think a full proper endorsement could help. https://www.newsweek.com/taylor-swift-beyonce-gen-z-vote-1932542 1
Popular Post LittleStarmen Posted August 4 Popular Post Posted August 4 Thats good in theory but Gen Z wont leave the house and vote. Most likely they will complain on tik tok 5 10
Gaia Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Kamala's team is doing a great job at engaging with Gen Z and Zillenials without the help of pop stars. Idk why this would be necessary 1
Bosque Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) I absolutely don't believe that 40% of Gen Z would change their vote solely based on a celebrity endorsement 11 minutes ago, Badgalbriel said: How is voting not mandatory in the US? That would violate freedom of speech in the US, it includes the right to not voice your opinion (which is basically what a vote is) Edited August 4 by Bosque 5 1
dumbsparce Posted August 4 Posted August 4 No one gives a **** who these uber privileged capitalists are gonna vote for. 4
Donquizote Posted August 4 Posted August 4 No celeb can influence voters though Stop living in the bubble 2
TayDuaStan Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Why they have to keep on tacking Bey with Taylor in almost everything? Tour gross, now this… This ain't a group project. She isn't anywhere close to Taylor's influence & popularity. 4 1 5 10
Teen Spirit Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Beyonce sneak I love Bey but Gen Z isn't really checking for her political opinions. 3 1 1
Hurem Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Considering how close the votes might be in some states, I wouldn't put it past Taylor pushing a candidate for the win.
nostalgic Posted August 4 Posted August 4 You're dumb as hell if you need a celebrity to encourage you to do your civic duty and vote in your best interests 4 3
Popboi. Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Most people Taylor endorsed last time lost by a landslide, let's not overrate celebrities telling people to vote Educate the youth on basic human rights and we would not be in this predicament. 4

Umm Taylor is 10 times bigger than she was when she previously endorsed those candidates. Taylor absolutely could sway a few voters. Beyoncé's target demographic isn't gen-z and everyone knows she'll vote for Kamala anyway. 1 1

There are lots of younger beyonce fans that she picked up during the i am sasha fierce era. This poll was conducted with almost 2000 people that fall within the gen z category. This was their answer. 2
Dancehall Queen Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Celebrity endorsements are always an easy attack for Republicans to use and probably end up motivating them more. ~ out of touch rich California celebrities blah blah. 2

I mean you could say the same for all celebs. The candidate taylor endorsed for a senate race in her home state lost by a landslide. So yeah its not a guarantee for all celebs. 2
Feanor Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Celebrity endorsements don't mean sh*t. People need to stop pushing for entertainers to tell them who do vote for. No one is changing their votes because a pop star tells them so. 4
