Archetype Posted August 4 Posted August 4 The water quality was technically clean enough for a while leading up to the event, but the heavy rains during opening week led to new contamination. They postponed several times until the quality was good enough, but the tests are never going to be perfect considering how large the river is and how it kept raining. Also, Paris did have backup facilities for this just in case, so they could have diverted the triathlon there but chose not to. She might be able to sue the city. Regardless, I hope she recovers fully and the Parisian government continues to commit to improving water quality well after the Olympics end. 2
