Antisocialites Posted August 2 Posted August 2 also beyond the problematic angle of this godawful take, it's not like the original Guess wasn't a sexual song to begin with 1

Sheep Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Ppl also completely missed the irony of B I L L I E E I L I S H playing this part in the song. It's like that fanbase doesn't know the first thing about either of these women they pretend to hate
BOOMBAYAH Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Whats sending me is that tiktok has like 200 likes dkjdd, like he must've been extra mad to comment on that khia's account 2
Everyperfectsummer Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Could you imagine meeting a friend, asking 'Hey have you listened to the new Charli and Billie Eilish song?' and they start saying all this sh*t out loud? 1 1
Bloodflowers. Posted August 2 Posted August 2 We luv a controversy, pls more fake outrage so we can promote GUESS
BOOMBAYAH Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Another note: One thing Billie is criticized for, especially when expressing her queerness (both by that TikToker and in general), is her sexualization of women, which I find oddly puritan and weird. It's as if internet stans and SJWs want lesbian romance and sexuality to be an asexual dreamland where girls just act dainty and have no sexual desires. Online it seems like people tend to view lesbians through an almost abstract lens, as if they are separate from the human condition, when in reality, lesbians are also horny and want to f*ck. But maybe queer people react this way in part because of @Saintlor's point about how straight women have hypersexualized lesbian sexuality to appease the male gaze (think Shakira x Rihanna, Britney x Madonna, etc.). They want to move away from the sexualization of women, even by other queer women, because lesbian sexuality in the media for so long had been hijacked by and catered to straight men and their gaze. I think this entire situation is very complicated, but the original TikTok is still super weird, especially coming from a man. 4 1
Gossip_Boy Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Predatory is insane. Please get out of the house and stop looking for something new to be outraged over 24/7 I beg.
Red Velvet Posted August 2 Posted August 2 the tiktok had 200 likes why is he even entertaining this and giving it a platform??

Electrasour Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) The rampant biphobia in some of these comments But anyways, Finneas said it best. Plus, if Charli is fine with that lyric then so am I Edited August 2 by Electrasour 1

freshoutthebuffet Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) 2 hours ago, Saintlor said: I know this is a grey-area because you can be accused of bi-phobia But I still stand by the fact that all the famous women who say they are bi only have relationships with men (especially only long term relationships with men) and are lying about being bi But people get away with this because delusional fans say: "they might not romantically be attracted to women but like them sexually" "just because they're bi it doesn't invalidate it because they only have relationships with men" blah blah Straight celebrities tag themselves as bi to make themselves seem less basic and give themselves an edge (also an easy way to get a cult following of lesbians) and they don't experience homophobia because I think the GP deep down do not truly believe they are into women Stans are also weird and like to use minorities as stan points like claiming Charli XCX is an Indian woman (when they wouldn't support a full Indian person who isn't white passing like Charli) ahhh my fave is a POC / my fave is literally a queer woman. Most people who praise Billie as my queer fave would call her the D word if they really believed she was exclusively a lesbian. Why do they have to prove anything to us? If Billie or any other female celebrity says they like women, I'm gonna take their word for it. we don't need to see them eat out another girl for us to believe it. its weird how entitled some of you feel to someone else's life just because they're in the spotlight. True, but they are benefitting from something others are oppressed for. It's similar to if Taylor Swift suddenly said she's half black with no proof and was releasing music about being a black woman and if stans were praising her for being the most successful black woman in the world... all whilst people that are black and look black face racism Sure Taylor wouldn't owe us proof, but it would still be side-eyeing. Billie is getting praised for being 'queer' or bi when she has only ever dated men (and this is common for pop stars) whilst people that actually date women are viewed as inferior for it and often called the D word and they wouldn't have as much large-scale appeal compared to others. SpaceOddity Posted August 2 Posted August 2 2 hours ago, Cain said: Very predatory of her to say those lyrics yeah, it's not like Charli had any control over them since it's not her song that she invited Billie to be on, approve Billie's lyrics and then film a music video with Billie right there saying those words that Charli knew about and had approved If that were the case tho this user is an incredibly dumb imbecile and should shut the **** up . Not to mention some of the sexist takes in here, some of you legit have **** for brains.
XXI. Posted August 2 Posted August 2 That's my favorite line in her verse It's hot. It's cheeky. It's fun. It's BRAT. You either get it or you don't xo.
favorite crime Posted August 2 Posted August 2 good on him for defending her but it's a tiktok with 300 likes... he's clearly just looking for something to be mad at
Lion Posted August 2 Posted August 2 If Charli was uncomfortable with that line she probably would've kept it on the cutting room lol
