Popular Post TomTom Posted August 2 Popular Post Posted August 2 (edited) A mess Spoiler For those who don't know, the line is "Katie's to the left, ripping my style" from Backstabber. She didn't sing the "ripping my style" part and instead made that disgusted facial expression. Edited August 2 by TomTom 9 1 52 2

Iirc, Kesha can't talk about Dr. Luke or the whole situation due to the settlement. Probably the only way she can say anything. That said, Katy definitely made herself an easy target. Also, didn't Katy refuse to speak on her behalf or something like that? 8 1 1

Nobody said anything about the male rappers or singers (or even the other women) that worked with Luke. But because Katy is a woman, flopping, a fad or etc, she's turned into an easy target. I can assure you nobody would bat an eye if she was smashing. 7 37

There's a bigger, nuanced conversation about this and I'm tired of palm colored people like yourself saying this as a GOTCHA when it's not. To make this really short, rappers align themselves with dangerous people and supper dangerous artists as well as glamorize dangerous life styles. The average rap music listener doesn't care about ethics to a certain capacity. Then you have queer pop stars with a gay audience who maintain and promote messages of peace, love, equal rights, social justice, etc So it's a NO BRAINER that the pop music listeners will care more about ethics than rap listeners. This is why Luke made numerous aliases and shifted to producing for rappers so he couldn't get dragged. And it stil didn't work for him. 5 8
